Meet Diana – Bikram Yoga Instructor

Since 2014, Diana has been inspiring students as a dedicated Bikram yoga instructor. A proud New York transplant, she embodies the city’s resilience and grit, proving you can take the girl out of New York, but you can’t take the New York out of the girl. Diana’s classes are known for their warm, heartfelt environment, where her passion and kindness empower students to step outside their comfort zones and discover their inner strength.

Diana’s Journey into Bikram Yoga

Diana’s journey into Bikram yoga was anything but easy. A longtime gym enthusiast, she reluctantly agreed to try her first hot yoga class after her trainer’s encouragement. Overcoming her initial fears, she stepped into the heated room with uncertainty. When the teacher said, "Just breathe," she wasn’t convinced it could really be that simple. But during that first class, something shifted. Diana let go of the need for perfection, embraced the postures, and focused on simply being present. The pride she felt after completing the class sparked a deep passion that led her back to the studio again and again.

From Student to Instructor

It wasn’t long before Diana knew she wanted to share the transformative power of yoga with others. Teacher training presented its own set of challenges, but Diana leaned into the process, discovering her resilience and learning to, as she puts it, “MacGyver” her way through obstacles. “Like the yoga teaches us,” she says, “you take what you have and use it to create what you need.”

Encouraging and Inspiring Students

Today, Diana encourages her students to embrace their journey, trust themselves, and find joy in simply trying. Her advice to anyone stepping into their first class is: “Don’t be afraid. Take it one step at a time, one breath at a time. Rest if you need to. No one is judging you—if anything, they’re inspired by your courage and wishing they could relive their first class.”

Diana loves watching her students grow and empowering them to see what’s possible when they try. “It’s about exploring what’s available to you,” she says.

Life Beyond Yoga

Outside of yoga, Diana is passionate about live music—especially Bruce Springsteen—and loves discovering new bands. She often ends her classes with an inspiring musical quote, leaving students uplifted and reflective. She’s also actively involved in personal development groups, focusing on the principle of “giving away what you want to receive.”
