A Heartfelt Message From Teri to Our Wellness Hot Yoga Community
Dear Students and Clients,
This is probably the hardest email I have ever written. I wish I could contact each of you in person to share this news, but I want you to hear it directly from me: after 18 years, I will be closing the studio. We will continue to hold classes through July 19th.
We have been through so much together as a community: so many celebrations, charitable events, a name change, the COVID shutdown, and our move to Haverhill. Unfortunately, the Haverhill location has not been able to sustain itself financially, and as painful as it is, the decision has been made to close.
While there is sadness in this decision, there is also opportunity. I am excited to share that Mike is actively working on opening a studio locally, and I have confidence this community will continue to thrive with him at the helm. More details will follow as things develop.
As for me, this change, while deeply sad, will give me more freedom to be with my family, and I am holding onto that. My next chapter still very much includes teaching, retreats, and continuing education for yoga teachers. I don’t know exactly what it will look like yet, but I am looking forward to finding out.
I am so grateful and so blessed. Since my very first class, I knew I wanted to be a teacher and a studio director. All of you have added so much to my life. You are the reason this studio has been what it is: a safe, warm, and supportive place to be. You supported each other, and you supported a large group of teachers from around the world. Wellness Hot Yoga has indeed been a very special place.
In the coming weeks, I will share more information about final classes, any remaining balances or memberships, and how to stay connected with the teachers and therapists who have meant so much to this community.
For now, we have canceled all auto-renewals for memberships occurring on or after today, and no memberships, class packs, or appointments (except drop-in classes) will be available for purchase through the website and Arketa platform. We will offer a pro-rated partial month membership terminating on our last day of classes on July 19, and we will adjust the price of this membership each week over the next four weeks. You may purchase this partial month membership by calling or visiting the studio on or after the last day of your current membership month (or emailing membership@wellnesshotyoga.com). You may also continue to book massages and facials through July 19 by calling or visiting the studio.
Thank you all for 18 amazing years of showing up, growing, healing, breathing together, and building something truly special. This studio has been a place of transformation, and that is because of all of you. Please remember this is your long journey through life, so first be good to yourself.
