First Time Students
We start where we start
We all remember our first class and know it is the first step to changing your life. This is a true beginner yoga, all you have to do is show up and breathe. This basic series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, practiced in a hot room, is taught in a manner that allows the practice to be done by beginners, people with limited mobility, and people with chronic illness, but is also challenging enough for athletes and experienced yoga students.
Our students come in all shapes, sizes, age groups, and physical condition. We are a supportive yoga community, our staff, teachers and students are always excited to welcome new students to the studio and make you feel comfortable and welcome.
Most people start to see real benefits in their first 10 classes. It can take a few classes to get used to the heat, but in a short time you will start to love coming in and how great you feel. Our new member program, $59 for your first month of membership, is designed to allow you to jump-start your practice, and prepare you for a regular transformative yoga practice.

Some things to help you on the first step:
Registration is recommended but not required and every class is for beginners. All you have to do is show up.
Arrive at least 15 minutes early for your first class.
You will need a yoga mat, a large bath or beach towel, and water for class. All these items are available to purchase or rent at the studio.
Bring a second towel if you would like to shower after class.
Drink water prior to class—being well hydrated makes the class more enjoyable.
It is best to practice yoga on an empty stomach, try to avoid large meals 2 hours prior to class.
The yoga room is heated, dress in lightweight clothing.
We encourage you to take your second class within 24 hours.
Our teachers are available before and after class to answer any questions.
